We sincerely apologize for the technical difficulties! A scan can fail for several reasons, but below are the most common:
Body Obstruction: Ensure that your phone is placed around waist height, and as close to the edge as possible, so that your full body is in the frame and nothing is obstructing the camera's view. If any part of your body, most commonly lower body, is not in view of the camera, the scan will fail.
Cluttered Environment: Ensure you are scanning in a clear space with little to no clutter around your body, and a plain, flat background wall. Spaces with furniture, clutter, or general objects in and around your body will confuse the camera's detection and fail the scan. The camera will also detect wall art, curtains, mirrors, and distinct geometric patterns behind you, failing the scan.
Lighting: Ensure you are scanning in an evenly lit environment, free of harsh overhead lighting, shadows across your body, and window light from behind. Avoid scanning under ceiling light or next to bright lamp/wall lighting. Poor lighting can effect the camera's ability to accurately detect your body's silhouette.
If the adjustments do not help, the last thing to try is deleting and reinstalling the app. This will not impact your scan history and serves to recalibrate the scanning process.
If you continue to experience issues after making these adjustments, please reach out to support@zozofit.com and an agent will assist you! Please provide ample detail about your specific issue in your outreach.
